Community meeting: Structural databases in the exascale era

The second closed community meeting, titled “Structural databases in the exascale era”, is scheduled for April 1, 2025 at Lady Margaret Hall, University of Oxford, Oxford, UK.  

External researchers involved in structural databases and bioinformatics repositories will join MDDB consotium members to discuss the integration of MD simulation data with existing biological data repositories such as PDB, Uniprot, and other bioinformatics platforms. The programme is available here.

The goal of the meeting is to:

• Identify additional annotations that could be incorporated into existing biological repositories, enriching the data for more detailed analysis and increasing its value to researchers.
• Define requirements for ensuring interoperability between simulation data and accepted standards for biological data repositories.
• Establish two working groups: one focused on the scientific side of data integration and another focused on the technical and developer side.
